Sonya Summey Miller
Sonya Summey Miller is a South Carolina based Singer with 40 years experience in competition vocals. She is a Certified Voice Teacher and Vocal Coach through the Contemporary Voice Academy and New York Vocal Coaching.

She is a Combat Veteran of the United States Air Force, where she was the Top Female Physical Fitness Award winner at Lackland Air Force Base, Airman of the Quarter at Mountain Home Air Force Base, and received the Combat training coin at Tyndall Air Force Base. She also received the Operation Iraqi Freedom medal for outstanding service in the field at Kirkuk Air Base in Iraq.

Sonya is a published author of children's books and faith-based fiction, a two time Miss America Organization Talent bowl title winner, a three time Miss South Carolina Top Ten Finalist, and served as Miss Travelers Rest 1999 & 2002, Miss Greater Greer 2000, and Miss Powdersville 2001.
​
She received the Key to the City of Travelers Rest for outstanding volunteerism, and the Sarlin Arts Award for Excellence in Music. She was a South Carolina All State Honors Choir Participant, served as the National Anthem Singer for the Ground Zero Memorial Ceremony in New York City, and was a Pre-finalist for American Idol and Nashville Star.

Sonya is an ambassador for the Mercy Alison Foundation Children's Choir in Uganda, and a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the South Carolina Music Teachers Association. She continues to perform at churches, festivals, retirement homes, and other events in her home state of South Carolina. Sonya enjoys teaching singing lessons to children, and also serves as a talent coach for young ladies competing in the Miss America Organization.
